                                    Bis(dimethylaluminum) selenide, prepared in situ via transmetallation reaction of bis(trimethylsilyl) selenide with dimethylaluminum chloride, reacted with ketones in the presence of a diene to give Diels-Alder adducts of the corresponding selenoketones and the diene.
