    The kinetics of addition of acetic, acrylic, or methacrylic acids to 1,2-epoxy-3-phenoxypropane (glycidyl phenyl ether) carried out in the presence of chromium(III) ethanoate have been studied. A kinetic model of the reaction has been proposed. The rake constants as web as the activation parameters have been evaluated. The reactivity of the acids in reactions with GPE and 1-chloro-2,3-epoxypropane (epichlorohydrin) without any solvent are compared. The compositions of reaction mixtures have been carefully determined.
