Synthesis of N-Sulfonylamidines by Catalyst-Free Hydroamination of Ynamides and Amines

A novel synthesis of N-sulfonylamidines by catalyst-free hydroamination of N, N-disulfonyl ynamides with amines was developed. Alkyl amines react with N, N-disulfonyl ynamides under mild conditions, whereas aryl amines require higher temperatures. Plausible mechanisms are proposed to explain this reaction.

Unprecedented selenium-catalyzed propargylic oxidation of alkynes is disclosed. Various propargylphosphonates and 3-alkynoates were efficiently converted to valuable ynones via unusual C–C triple bond migration and deselenenylation at a vinyl carbon. A novel synthesis of α,β-unsaturatedamides from N,N-disulfonyl ynamides with aldehydes was developed. By utilization of salicylaldehydes, a variety of substituted iminocoumarins were prepared.
