Aminosubstituted disilanes and germylsilanes react with trifluoromethanesulfonic acid under formation of the corresponding oligomeric triflate derivatives. The displacement of an amino group progresses significantly faster than the substitution of a phenyl group at the silicon atom. For that reason the exchange of amino substituents often leads to other products than the exchange of a phenyl group
