  excess of sulphur affords the corresponding mono- and trisulphur compounds P5C5tBuS and P5C5tBuH2S3, respectively, whose structures have been elucidated by NMR spectroscopy; and in the case of the trisulphur derivative confirmed by a single crystal X-ray study of its EtOH adduct, P5C5tBu5H3S3(OEt).
