  aminomethylation of the several esters of hypophosphorous acid using chloro-, alkoxy-, and amino-substituted methylamines of various structure is proposed as convenient method for the synthesis of new functionalized aminomethylphosphonites and bis(aminomethyl)phosphinates. Also O,O-diethyl(pivaloyl)phosphonite is successfully applied in the aminomethylation as a synthetic analog of unstable diethoxyphosphine.

  We have now found that reactions of N-dialkylaminomethyl-dialkylamines and -imide, and O-dialkylaminomethyl ethers with N-(1-cyclohexen-1-yl) dialkylamines result in electrophilic substitution at α and α'positions of the enamine to give N-(2-dialkylaminomethyl-6-methylene-1-cyclohexen-1-yl) dialkylamines. Features and generalization of the reactions are described.

  It has been found that N-(alkoxymethyl) dialkylamines and N, N'-methylenebisdialkylamines react with isocyanides, effecting 1, 1-addition by suffering split of one of the methylene carbon-heteroatom bonds. The reactions furnish the corresponding imidates and amidines as the products which are not otherwise obtainable.
