  N-吡咯基烯酮（5）经计算不稳定且不共轭，具有优选的几何构型，其中吡咯基环正交于烯基。乙炔5是使用Mukaiyama试剂从N-焦乳酸酸（7）生成的，并与亚胺反应形成β-内酰胺10，其产物比率与log（cis / trans）与σ +有关。N-重氮乙酰基吡咯（14）在MeOH中的光解，从5和酯17中也可以得到N-吡咯基乙酸甲酯（15），这显然是通过捕获2-（1-吡咯基酮）（21），由新的乙烯基Wolff重排形成。
