    The dielectric polymeric film in the inventive film capacitor is formed from a cyanoalkyl-containing organopolysiloxane repre­sented by the average unit formula R¹aR²bSiO(4-a-b)/2, in which R¹ ia a cyanoalkyl group having 3 to 5 carbon atoms, R² is a hydrogen atom, monovalent hydrocarbon group or halogenat­ed monovalent hydrocarbon group, the subscript a is a positive number in the range from 0.8 to 1.8 and the subscript b is zero or a positive number not exceeding 1.0 with the proviso that a + b is in the range from 1.1 to 1.98.

    A highly dielectric addition type curable composition is provided comprising (A) an organopolysiloxane containing a cyanoalkyl group and a monovalent hydrocarbon group having an aliphatic unsaturated bond, (B) an organohydrogenpolysiloxane containing a cyanoalkyl group, and (C) a platinum group metal catalyst. The composition is easy to handle because of liquid despite solvent-free, less hygroscopic and effectively curable, and has a film-forming ability. The cured composition has excellent dielectric properties as demonstrated by a large dielectric constant and a low dielectric loss.

    A light-emitting composition comprising (A) a compound having a cyanoethyl group, (B) an adhesive resin material and (C) an electroluminescent material, wherein an amount of the component (B) is from 1 to 1,000 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the component (A); an electroluminescent sheet comprising at least a first electrode, an electroluminescent layer and a second electrode, laminated in this order, wherein at least one of the first electrode and the second electrode is transparent, and the electroluminescent layer contains the light-emitting composition; and a method for producing thereof are provided. Specifically, an electroluminescent sheet that can be produced at ambient temperature without heating, has high productivity, and can be mass produced at low cost, a method for producing thereof, and a light-emitting composition used therein are provided.
