3-aminopyrimidinone derivatives. The latter reacted with 2-thiophenecarbaldehyde or phthalic anhydride to afford the corresponding Schiff ’s base and imide derivatives. Diazotization of amides gave thienotriazinone derivatives, which were treated with ethyl iodide to afford the corresponding 3-ethyltriazinone derivatives. Also, they were reacted with phenyl isothiocyanate to give the corresponding thiopyrimidinone
