Cu(II), Mn(II), Co(II), and Fe(III) Complexes with γ‐l‐Glutamyl‐5‐(m‐nitroanilide) as Ligand. Spectroscopic, Magnetic, and Thermal Studies
摘要:
The [Cu(L)(2)](H2O)-H-., [Co(L)(2)(H2O)(2)], [Mn(L)(2)(H2O)(2)](.)2H(2)O and [Fe(L)(3)](.)5H(2)O complexes for HL=gamma-L-glutamyl-5-(m-nitroanilide) were synthesized and their spectral, magnetic and thermal properties were investigated. The thermal stability in the 20-500 degreesC temperature ranges of the synthesized complexes is discussed. In all of the studied complexes gamma-L-glutamyl-5-(m-nitroanilide) acts as a bidentate ligand with coordination involving the carboxylate oxygen and the nitrogen atom belonging to the amino group of the gamma-L-glutamyl fragment. The local structure around the Cu(II) ion is pseudotetrahedral. In the Co(II), Mn(II) and Fe(III) complexes the metal ions are in the high-spin form with an octahedral stereochemistry.
