  In the title compound, [Co(NCS)(2)(C5H8N2)(2)] H2O, the metal atom exhibits an approximately tetrahedral configuration. The Co-N bond distances and N-Co-N bond angles are in the ranges 1.936 (3)-2.010 (3)Angstrom and 101.6 (1)-113.7 (2)degrees, respectively. The water molecule is involved in O-H ... S and N-H ... O hydrogen bonds, which result in the formation of an infinite chain parallel to the c axis.
