  A series of new 7-aryl-11,12-dihydrobenzo[h]pyrimido-[4,5-b]quinoline-8,10(7H,9H)-diones were synthesized via three-component reaction of aldehydes, 1-naphthylamine and barbituric acid in ionic liquid.
