  Pig liver esterase-(PLE) catalyzed hydrolysis of dimethyl esters of symmetrical dicarboxylic acids, including meso-diacids, cis-1,2-cycloalkanedicarboxylic acids, and diacids with a prochiral center, was studied with 14 substrates.
