    Polymer for antifouling coatings which comprises units corresponding to the following monomers: A) 5 to 100 mol. % of one or more compounds of general formula (I) in which R=H or CH 3 ; X=O or S; R 1 =Ph(R 2 ) m , —C(H) 3−(p+q) (CO—R) 3 p (COOR 3 ) q , —(CH 2 ) n −(CO) t —COOR 3 or optionally substituted thiadiazolyl and thiazolylsulfamyl groups; Ph=phenyl; m=1-3; p=0-3; q=0-3; p+q=1-3; s=0 or 1; t=0 or 1; R 2 =each independently selected from halogen, —C(O)H, —COOR 3 , —CH 2 —COOR 3 , —O—R 3 , —NH COOR 3 , —NH—CO—R 3 and —NH 2 ; R 3 =II or optionally halogen substituted alkyl, aryl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl groups with 1-10 C atoms; and B) 0 to 95 mol. % of one or more other ethylenically unsaturated compound.     Economical and efficient processes for producing an α, β-unsaturated carboxylic acid heterocycle-inserted ester and an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid polyheteroalkylene ester as well as a catalyst suited for use in economically and efficiently producing an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester are provided. The invention provides (1) a process for producing an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester which comprises reacting an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester with a heterocyclic compound, (2) a process for producing an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester which comprises reacting an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid with a heterocyclic compound in the presence of a polymerization inhibitor and a metal oxide catalyst, and (3) a catalyst for the production of an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester    comprising a metal oxide.

    An acid liquid leakage sensor is capable of quickly detecting liquid leakage from a device, such as a battery or the like, in which acid liquid is charged, and this acid liquid leakage sensor includes a first conductive member, a second conductive member, and an electrically insulating material which establishes an electrically insulating state between these first and second conductive members. The electrically insulating material includes a macromolecular compound having a basic functional group, and is one whose electrical insulation characteristic or high resistance characteristic decreases upon reaction with an acid liquid; so that it is possible to detect leakage of acid liquid such as battery fluid, by detecting the change of conductive state between the first conductive member and the second conductive member which accompanies the decrease of the electrical insulation characteristic or high resistance characteristic of the electrically insulating material, when acid liquid leaks out and drips down the electrically insulating material.

    A liquid medicine injection device (1) has an upper member (3), a lower member (2), and a sealing member (4) accommodated between both members. An upper-surface side of a flange part (42) of the sealing member is pressed by the upper member, and an outer-edge portion of a lower-surface side of the flange part is pressed by the part (22a) for pressing the peripheral portion of the sealing member with the annular edge part (25) in penetration into an inner-edge portion of the lower-surface side of the flange part. As a result, there is a decrease of a skirt-shaped projected part (43) of the sealing member, and an outer peripheral surface of the lower end of a part (41b) to be inserted into the lower member closely contacts an inner surface of the annular wall part.
