Despite their popularity in the design of modern bioactive molecules, the underpinning methods for sulfonamide synthesis are essentially unchanged since their introduction, and rely on the use of starting materials with preinstalled sulfur-functionality. Herein we report a direct single-step synthesis of sulfonamides that combines two of the largest monomer sets available in discovery chemistry, (hetero)aryl

amines or vinyl anilines for the preparation of pyrrolidines or indolines, the intermolecular version is less studied. Herein, this electrochemical intermolecular oxidative annulation of anilines and alkenes for the preparation of indolines proceeded under external oxidant-free conditions. The most noteworthy achievement of our work is the facile generation of indolines with quaternary centers at the
Cyanamides are an important class of molecules. This work describes a facile synthesis of disubstitutedcyanamides. Here, readily accessible 1-cyano-1, 2-benziodoxol-3-(1H)-one (CBX) was applied as a stable electrophilic cyanation reagent. Diverse secondaryamines were effectively cyanated. Moreover, secondary sulfonamides proved to be suitable substrates and were readily converted to N-alkyl(aryl

A one-pot, two-stage synthesis of diaryl sulfonamides using sequential iron and coppercatalysis is developed. Regioselective para-iodination of activated arenes by the super Lewis acid, iron triflimide and N-iodosuccinimide (NIS), is followed by a copper(I)-catalyzed N-arylation reaction. The process is found to be applicable for the coupling of a range of anisoles, anilines and acetanilides with
