A series of newmultifunctionalligands based on the benzotriazole unit has been synthesized by condensation of hydroximethylbenzotriazole with carboxylic acid derivatives of pyridine, triphenylphosphine, ferrocene and thiophene. The coordination properties of these ligands towards cobalt, rhodium and iridium have been studied.
