silylation using hydrosilane was developed. This cross-dehydrogenative silylation enables both electron-rich and electron-poor aromatics to afford the desired arylsilanes in unique selectivity. A “para-selectivity” was observed by examination of over 54 examples. This exceptional orientation is quite different from that in Friedel–Crafts C–H silylation or transition-metal-catalyzed dehydrogenative silylation

A rhodium(III)-catalyzedredox-neutralcoupling of α-trifluoromethylacrylic acid with bezamides proceeds smoothly accompanied by amide-directed C-H bond cleavage to produce β-[2-(aminocarbonyl)phenyl]-α-trifluoromethylpropanoic acid derivatives. One of the products can be transformed to a trifluoromethyl substituted heterocyclic compound. In addition, the redox-neutralcoupling of α-trifluoromethylacrylic
Synthesis of CF3-Containing Isoindolinone Derivatives through Rhodium-catalyzed Oxidative Coupling of Benzamides with 2-Trifluoromethylacrylate
The oxidativecoupling of benzamides with methyl 2-trifluoromethylacrylate proceeds smoothly under rhodium(III) catalysis to produce trifluoromethyl-substituted isoindolinone derivatives. The catal...

The first phosphine-free Pd-catalysed double carbonylation of aryl iodides is reported as a general and practical method, giving excellent conversions and selectivities for a wide range of aryl iodides and amine nucleophiles under atmospheric CO pressure.
Covalent triazine framework-supported palladium as a ligand-free catalyst for the selective double carbonylation of aryl iodides under ambient pressure of CO
Carbonylation of aryl iodides with amines at atmospheric pressure of CO, catalyzed by Pd/CTFs (covalent triazine frameworks) without any specific additives, leads to the highly selective synthesis of [small alpha]-ketoamides.
