Syntheses and properties of two chiral multidentate carboxylate copper coordination compounds
摘要:
A chiral ligand, (R)-2-(4-(carboxymethoxy)phenoxy) propanoic acid, is employed as building block to construct two chiral coordination compounds, [Cu(L)(bipy)(H2O)] (1) and [Cu-2(L)(2)(phen)(4)(H2O)(13)] (2), by the solvent-thermal method and the volatilization method, respectively. The compounds are characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction (XRD), IR spectra, XRD, TGA, and circular dichroism spectra. Compound 1 is comprised of right-handed helical chains and 2 shows a separated structure, both of which extend to 3-D supramolecular framework by hydrogen bonds and pi . . . pi interactions. CD indicates both compounds retain original stereo character with strong fluorescence at room temperature.
