A convergent catalysis approach has been developed. The combined metal-catalyzed and organocatalyzed cascade consists of two oxidations, an aza-Michael addition and an aldol condensation, and involves a multicatalysis approach to provide 1,2-dihydroquinolines in a highlyenantioselective fashion.
