A kinetic study of the isomerization reaction from SSF2 to FSSF using the HeI photoelectron spectroscopic method

The isomerization reaction from SSF2 to FSSF is studied using the HeI photoelectron spectroscopy (PES) method at 23 degrees C and 50 degrees C. This isomerization reaction is found to be first-order. Kinetic equations for the isomerization reaction at the abovementioned temperatures are, respectively: In R-296K = -(3.773 +/- 0.387) x 10(-5) t - 1.840 and In R-323K = -(8.547 +/- 0.978) x 10(-5) t - 1.927. The activation energy obtained by the PES experiment is 24.078 U mol(-1). (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
