The reaction of excess Cd(SiF3)2·glyme (glyme = dimethoxyethane) with trimethylphosphine metal dibromides of platinum, palladium, and nickelyielded the trifluorosilylsubstituteddialkylcompounds trans-Pt(SiF3)2(PMe3)2, Pd(SiF3)2(PMe3)2, and Ni(SiF3)2(PMe3)3.
