    N-[9-(hydroxymethyl)-2-fluorenyl succinamic acid may be used as an anchoring linkage for the preparation of protected peptide segments in combination with Boc/Bzl1 protection scheme. The new handle proved to be stable to the usual conditions of solid-phase peptide synthesis and gave the protected peptide in high yields and purities by treatment with piperidine or morpholine.

    The handle N-[(9-hydroxymethyl)-2-fluorenyl]succinamic acid (HMFS) is reported for the preparation of protected peptide segments in combination with a Boc/Bzl protection scheme. Treatment of peptide-resins with morpholine in DMF renders protected peptides in high yields and purities.

    One aspect of the present invention relates to a method of labeling a peptide or protein comprising a phosphorylated amino acid comprising: a) removing from the peptide or protein the phosphate group via a β-elimination to form a double bond conjugated to a C═O group; b) reacting the double bond from step a) with a nucleophile comprising a tag on a solid support; and c) removing the solid support from the product of step b) forming the labeled peptide or protein. A second aspect of the invention relates to a solid support comprising a linker and tag between the solid support and a nucleophile, wherein the tag comprises a label.

The invention further concerns a growth method for oligonucleotides or peptides characterized in that growth is performed on a material formed of a porous support on which functionalized nanoparticles are grafted by covalent bonding, characterized in that at least a part of the nanoparticles grafted by covalent bonding is housed inside surface pores of the support.
