NMR Part 4 —17O NMR study of 2,2-diacylenamines of Enaminones

Natural abundance 170 NMR spectra of 41 2,2-diacylenamines (enamino diketones and enamino diesters), recorded in acetonitrile solution, are reported. Tertiary enamino diketones show only one O-17 signal; primary and secondary derivatives show two O-17 signals. The shift difference (Delta delta(HB)) between the two carbonyl groups is mainly attributed to intramolecular hydrogen bonding and depends on the donor property of the amino group and the structure of the enamino diketone. The delta(O-17) values correlate well with the pK(a) values of amines. Correlations of delta(O-17-1) values for the chelated carbonyl group with their delta(C-13-1) and delta(C-13-2) values are observed. (C) 1997 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
Synthesis of bioactive 1-alkyl-1H-naphtho[2,3-d][1,2,3]triazole-4,9-diones and N-aryl-2-aminomethylene-1,3-indanediones using water as the solvent

Through a [2+3] cycloaddition reaction, a new environmentally friendly method was developed to enable the synthesis of bioactive 1-alkyl-1H-naphtho[2,3-d][1,2,3]triazole-4,9-diones and N-aryl-2-aminomethylene-1,3-indanediones using water as the solvent with good yields and minimum requirement of purification. This new green synthetic protocol is simple and suitable for scale-up synthesis. (C) 2014 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Die in Teil 1 dargestellten (2‐Chlor‐1,3‐dioxo‐indan‐2‐yl)‐methansulfonate 1 lieferten mit Phosphorpentachlorid teilweise die Sulfonylchloride 2, aber auch das Abbauprodukt 3 sowie das Bis‐acyl‐ketendichlorid 7. Mit Aminen reagierte 2 nicht zu den Sulfonamiden 9, sondern zu den 2‐Amino‐methyliden‐1,3‐indanionen 10.
A simple, novel method for the preparation of polymer-tetherable, zwitterionic merocyanine NLO-chromophores

A suite of polymer-ready nonlinear optical merocyanines has been
synthesised and characterised. The tethering functionality—a vicinal
dihydroxypropyl residue—is introduced onto the donor nitrogen of the
chromophore precursor without the need for protection/deprotection steps,
thereby giving ready access to potentially high Tg condensation
polymer systems. An X-ray crystal structure determination on a representative
chromophore 5 confirms the largely
zwitterionic nature of these systems and experimental measurements of second-order
nonlinear response [β(0)], by hyper-Raleigh
scattering, indicate that a pyridylidene donor–quinomethide acceptor
combination gives rise to the largest nonlinearity.

In this study, the cerium(III) trifluoromethanesulfonate–catalyzed cycloaddition of 1,4-naphthoquinone with functionalized azides in aqueous solutions was used to synthesize naphtho[2,3-d][1,2,3]triazole-4,9-dione derivatives. The present invention provides a photoelectric conversion element including a photoelectric conversion film having a narrow half-width of absorption peak and an excellent photoelectric conversion efficiency, and an imaging element, an optical sensor, and a compound. The photoelectric conversion element according to the present invention includes a conductive film, a photoelectric conversion film, and a transparent conductive film, in this order, in which the photoelectric conversion film contains a compound represented by Formula (1).
