  This invention relates to .alpha.-(branched C.sub.3 -C.sub.4 alkyl)naphthaleneacetic acids and a method for the control of undesirable plant species therewith. The invention also relates to a method for the preparation of the compounds. CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION Our copending application Ser. No. 673,244 filed of even date, now U.S. Pat.
