A new solvatochromic complex of copper (II) and 3H-indolium (HQIndol) with the formula (HQIndol)3Cu has been synthesised and characterised by elemental analysis, UV–vis, IR spectroscopies, electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), and static magnetic susceptibility and conductance measurements.
