  N-methyl- and N-butylperfluoroarylamines are transformed by HNO3 into N-nitro-N-methyl- and N-nitro-N-butylperfluoroarylamines. These reactions were used to synthesise N-nitro-N-methylpentafluoroaniline and its p-CF3. -CN, -C6F5 substituted derivatives, N-nitro-N-methylperfluoro-2,4-xylidine, N-nitro-N-methyl-4-aminotetrafluoropyridine N-nitro-N-methyl 5-aminoperfluoroindane, N-nitro-N-methyl-2- aminoheptafluoronaphthalene. 4,4 ' -bis(N-nitro-N- merhylamino)octafluorobiphenyl from 4,4 ' -bis(N-methylamino)octafluorobiphenyl, N-nitro-N-n-butylpentafluoroaniline, N-nitro-N-n-butylperfluoro-p-toluidine, N-nitro-N-n-butyl-4-aminotetrafluoropyridine and N-nitro-bis( perfluoro-p-tolyl)amine. Tetrafluoro-p-benzoquinone and heptafluoro-p-toluquinol were obtained from N-methylpentafluoroanilinz and N-methylperfluoro-p-toluidine, respectively, under the action of a mixture of HNO3 and H2SO4 The X-ray crystal structure of N-nitro-N-methylperfluoro-p-toluidine was determined.   The reaction of octafluorotoluene in DMF with vinylthiolate ion generated from divinyl sulfide by the action of sodium in liquid ammonia afforded 2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-4-trifluoromethylaniline, 3,6-difluoro-4-trifluoromethyl-1,2,5-tris(vinylsulfanyl)benzene, and 3,6-difluoro-N, N-dimethyl-4-trifluoromethyl-2,5-bis-(vinylsulfanyl)aniline. Under the same conditions, 2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-4-trifluoromethylaniline gave rise to 3,6-difluoro-4-trifluoromethyl-2,5-bis(vinylsulfanyl)aniline.

  Ultraviolet absorption spectra in the range 300-200 K were used to Study the composition and structure of complexes formed in solutions by the fluorinated amine (4-CF3C6F4)(2)NH as a proton donor with dibutylamine. A program is developed for quantitative analysis Of Sets Of the Spectra of equilibrium multicomponent systems, that allow to find spectral and thermodynamic characteristics of the individual components. In the systems in study, 1 : 1 and 1 : 2 fluorinated diamine-dibutylamine complexes are formed. The first of them in a molecular complex with an NH . . .N hydrogen bond, and the second is an ionic proton-transfer complex. The equilibrium constants between the complexes and the free molecules are round, the enthalpies and entropies of formation of both complexes are found, and the spectra of the complexes are measured.
