Functionalized polytriazoles on graphene oxide-supported copper(I) complex as an effective reusable catalyst for sonochemical click synthesis of triazoles in aqueous media

In the present study, a copper complex immobilized on graphene oxide was synthesized as a novel, green, highly efficient and reusable heterogeneous catalyst. Then, the synthesis of beta-hydroxy-1,2,3-triazole derivatives were performed by the employment of GO@polytriazole-Cu as catalyst under ultrasound irradiation to afford the desired products in high yields and short reaction times. Also, in this protocol the catalyst could be easily recovered and reused several times without any significant loss of its catalytic activity. (C) 2017 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
