Abstract
A series of novel 6-(sec-butyl)-3-methyl-1-(substituted phenyl)-5,6- dihydropyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrazol-4-(1H)ones 5a–h were synthesized using L-isoleucine methyl ester hydrochloride as the starting material. Their structures were characterized by 1H NMR, FT-IR, EI-MS and elemental analysis. Compound 5f was further analyzed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The bioassay results indicate that most of the compounds exhibit inhibitory activity against four plant pathogenic fungi Fusarium graminearum, Botrytis cinerea, Rhizoctonia cerealis and Colletotrichum
capsici.
