  Abstract The synthesis of new symmetrical 1,4-bis(methallyloxy)benzene and 4,4′-bis(methallyloxy)bi­phenyl and their bromofluorination with N-bromosuccinimide (NBS) and triethylamine trihydrofluoride (Et3N·3HF) have been described.
