Short and efficient preparation of alkynyl selenides, sulfides and tellurides from terminal alkynes
摘要:
Diphenyl diselenide reacts with terminal alkynes at room temperature in DMSO in the presence of catalytic amounts of copper iodide to give good to excellent yields of alkynyl phenyl selenides. The reaction occurs under neutral conditions and the solvent acts as the oxidant. Diphenyl disulfide and ditelluride undergo the analogous reaction, but require the presence of a weak inorganic base. synthesis of a vast variety of heteroatom‐containing cyclobutene‐triflones [bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)cyclobutenes] and cyclobutenones has been developed starting from heteroatom‐substituted alkynes and a pyridinium salt (a latent Tf2C=CH2 source). This powerful methodology, involving cyclization reactions, allows for the selective preparation of oxygen‐, nitrogen‐, bromine‐, chlorine‐, iodine‐, sulfur‐

Hydrozirconation of acetylenic tellurides 1 affords the first examples of 1,1-bimetalloalkenes of tellurium and zirconium 2. Intermediates 2 are reacted with acyl halides to obtain (Z)-alpha-organotelluro- alpha,beta-unsaturated carbonyl compounds 4 via Zr-Cu transmetallation. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd
