A series of new N-substituted poly (β-haloallylaniline)s were synthesized by the chemical oxidation method. Based on these polymers, various functionalized polyindoles of a new type were obtained. All the polymers were characterized by FTIR, UV–vis spectra, SEM and TGA techniques.
