Two cyclic diarylheptanoids, acerogenins A (1) and B (2) have been isolated from the bark of Acer nikoense as inhibitors of Na+-glucose cotransporter (SGLT). Acerogenins A (1) and B (2) inhibited both isoforms, SGLT1 and SGLT2.
