A smallmolecular D‐π‐A‐π‐D triad NDIP consisting of naphthalenediimide (NDI) as an acceptor and porphyrin as a donor was synthesized. This molecule exhibits intense absorption from visible to NIR region (400 nm to 1000 nm) and has high thermal stability. NDIP turned out to be an excellent donor in BHJ solarcell with nearly 8.5 % PCE.
