Pyrazine derivatives show a wide range of biological activities. Some derivatives are used for tuberculosis treatment1). Pyrazinosulfonamides are long acting sulfonamides2) and in combination with certain pyrimidine derivatives have shown dramatic effects in clinical trials against resistant falciparum malaria3).
