An efficient method for the synthesis of organophosphorus compounds from alkenes or alkynes and P(O)H compounds was developed under neutral and free-radical conditions. This methodology can be achieved without solvent, at room temperature in an open air system, using only 0.1 equiv. of 2,2-dimethoxy-2-phenylacetophenone (DPAP) as photoinitiator and an equimolar ratio of unsaturated compound and P(O)H
