Substituted 2, 3, 4, 5-tetrahydropyrimidines (THP) ##STR1## are prepared as follows: (1) The reaction of a carbonyl compund (ketone or aldehyde) with (NH.sub.3 or NH.sub.4 OH) and a sulfur-containing catalyst. (2) The reaction of an .alpha., .beta.-unsaturated ketone and a carbonyl compound and NH.sub.3 (or NH.sub.4 OH) without a catalyst. (3) Reaction of an .alpha., .beta.-unsaturated ketone, a 1-amino-alcohol and NH.sub.3 (or NH.sub.4 OH) without a catalyst. The compositions of this invention react with carbon disulfide to form xanthates, can be isomerized, converted to pyridines, etc.
制备2, 3, 4, 5-四氢嘧啶(THP)##STR1##的方法如下:(1)将羰基化合物(酮或醛)与(NH.sub.3或NH.sub.4 OH)和含硫催化剂反应。(2)将α,β-不饱和酮和羰基化合物以及NH.sub.3(或NH.sub.4 OH)在无催化剂的情况下反应。(3)将α,β-不饱和酮,1-氨基醇和NH.sub.3(或NH.sub.4 OH)反应。本发明的组合物与二硫化碳反应形成黄酸盐,可以进行异构化,转化为吡啶等。
