Provided are a silicon-containing resin composition with which it is possible to form a silica-based coating film in which generation of cracks is minimized, a method for forming a silica-based coating film using the silicon-containing resin composition, and a crack-free silica-based coating film formed using the silicon-containing resin composition. A silicon-containing resin composition including (A) a silicon-containing resin and (S) a solvent, wherein one or more selected from siloxane resins and polysilanes is used as the (A) silicon-containing resin, and the (S) solvent contains a cycloalkyl acetate having a specific structure. Cyclohexyl acetate is preferably used as the cycloalkyl acetate.

The present invention discloses a filter medium for removing leukocytes from a leukocyte-containing sample, comprising: a substrate and a first polymer. The first polymer forms cross-linked networks or polymer brushes on the substrate and comprising charged groups or latent charged groups to control the electrical characteristic of the first polymer. The surface of the substrate formed with the first polymer possesses a specific charge distribution having charged domains and zwitterionic non-charged domains.

The invention represents new hybrid compounds of two natural products sclareol and doxorubicin in the form of their conjugates. These compounds are in the form of conjugates, where doxorubicin and sclareol are covalently linked by a linker in a 1:1 molar ratio. The hybrids have shown to possess anticancer properties and are effective in treating resistant cancer cells that have P-glycoprotein membrane transporter, responsible for resistance to doxorubicin. The hybrids have been tested on different types of cell lines, including human glioblastoma, non-small cell lung carcinoma, and colorectal carcinoma. Also, a method for their preparation and their use in medical products or pharmaceutical preparations has been determined. The results of the study include the cytotoxic activity of single, combined, and conjugated compounds in pairs of sensitive and resistant cancer cells, with and without P-glycoprotein expression. The selectivity towards cancer cells was determined by comparing with commercially available normal human lung fibroblast cells. The study also investigated the nanoparticle nature of hybrid compounds, their intracellular localization and toxicity in vivo.
