methods for the synthesis of novel class of simple and fused heterocyclic compounds were prepared starting with 1‐naphthyl‐2‐cyanoacetamide and commercially available reagents. The cyclocondensation of 1‐naphthyl‐2‐cyanoacetamide with sulfanylacetic acid furnished phenylthiazolinone derivative.
