Ynones as diene surrogates: The asymmetric synthesis of enantiomerically enriched substituted dihydropyranones is described. The products are obtained in two steps by a copper(I)‐catalyzed direct aldol reaction of ynones followed by a silver‐catalyzed oxy‐Michael reaction.
