The reaction of monothiocarboxylic acids with dicyclohexylcarbodi-imide affords diacyl sulphides and dicyclohexylthiourea. In some cases the formation of N-acyl-NN′-dicyclohexylthioureas was observed. Diacyl sulphides were also obtained by treatment of O-trimethylsilyl thiocarboxylates with acyl chlorides.
