Tetraza-indolizines have been prepared by interaction between 5-aminotetrazole and 2-hydroxymethylene-cyclohexanone and cyclopentanone, ethyl cyclohexanone-2-carboxylate, and potassium o-iodobenzoate. The last-named substance gave a known hydroxy-benztetrazaindolizine, previously obtained by another type of method.
