  A propane derivative represented by the following formula wherein R represents a lower alkyl group; one of A and B represents a group of the formula and the other represents a group of the formula in which R¹ and R² are identical or dif­ferent and each represents a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group, an aryl group or an aralkyl group, R³ represents a substituted or unsubsti­tuted lower alkyl group, a substituted or unsub­stituted aryl group or a substituted or unsub­stituted heterocyclic group, and X represents a sulfonyl group or a carbonyl group, and an acid addition salt thereof. The compounds pro­vided by this invention have useful biological activities such as the spasmolytic activity on the vascular smooth muscles and anti-platelet aggregatory activity and are useful as drugs for treating cardiovascular diseases such as angina pectoris, cerebral circulation disorder and thrombosis.
