  2-aroyl-3,3-bis(alkylsulfanyl)acryaldehydes 和丙二腈的 Knoevenagel 加合物在二异丙基胺存在下发生环化反应，生成 5-aroyl-2,6-bis(methylsulfanyl)nicotinonitriles。在氨水存在下进行环化，可得到 2-氨基-5-芳酰基-6-(甲硫基)烟腈。在涉及芳基乙烯二硫代乙酸酯、丙二腈和 Vilsmeier 试剂的多组分反应中，生成了 5-芳酰基-2-氯-6-(甲硫基)烟腈。

  A facile one pot synthetic path for the preparation of pyrimidine-5-carbaldehydes from alpha-formylaroylketene dithioacetals is described. Amidines were allowed to react with alpha-formylaroylketene dithioacetals in DMF or acetonitrile to afford the pyrimidine-5-carbaldehydes.
