  19-nor-17α-ethinyl-Δ4-androstene-3,17β-diol (IIb), Δ4-pregnen-3β-ol-20-one (VIa) and Δ4-pregnene-3β,21-diol-20-one diacetate (XIX) are described. These 3β-hydroxy analogues of steroidal hormones were found to be biologically active when assayed in animals.
