  New bis(benzene-1,2-dithiolato)Ni(II)·n-Bu4N having one or two N,N-dimethylamino substituent(s) were prepared. The main characteristic in their electronic absorptions was the intense near-infrared absorption band with a maximum of intensity at 990–1163 nm.
