4-diylplatinum(II) complexes were prepared by treatment of a (η-ethylene)(triphenylphosphine)platinum(0) complex with (Z)-α,β-bis(dialkylgermyl)styrenes, and their structures were determined by spectroscopic analysis coupled with X-ray diffraction methods.
