Me(3)SiC=CSiMe(3) reacts with Ru(H)(2)(CO)L(2) (L = P(t)Bu(2)Me) to give Ru(SiMe(3))(CCSiMe(3))(CO)L(2), characterized by solution spectroscopic and single-crystal X-ray diffraction methods. The molecule is square-pyramidal with an apical SiMe(3) group and CO and CCSiMe(3) in mutually trans basal sites.
