    Reaction of [PtCl2(COD)] or cis-[PtCl2(PPh(3))(2)] with a range of mono- and di-substituted ureas, together with urea itself, and an excess of silver(I) oxide gives ureylene complexes 3 and 4 containing the Pt-N-C(O)-N four-membered ring system. The complexes have been fully characterised by multinuclear NMR and IR spectroscopies, electrospray mass spectrometry, and a single-crystal X-ray structure of the complex [Pt{PhNC(O)NAd)(COD)] (Ad = 1-adamantyl, COD = 1,5-cyclo-octadiene).

    Bisurea gelling agents that impart a number of unexpected benefits within various gelled formulations and exhibit great versatility in terms of gelling capabilities for many types of solvents are provided. Such gelling agents should include pendant groups, such as sterically hindering alkyl groups attached to polyoxyalkylenated moieties that allow the gelling agent to be compatible with the target liquid system at elevated temperatures, while controlling and/or limiting the network formation and strength during the cooling cycle. The result is that a reliable, hard gel is formed that does not crash out of solution easily and that does not exhibit unwanted cracking or precipitating out within the final formulation. Alternatively, novel gelling agents having two urea groups but that are asymmetrical in configuration have been produced in order to provide the same control in temperature, compatibility, and efficiency. Final gelled formulations, such as antiperspirant sticks and other like consumer items, are provided as well within this invention.

    The present invention has its object to provide a resin composition excellent in impact resistance, tensile properties and transparency using a plant-derived biodegradable polymer obtained by positive fixation of carbon dioxide on the earth and, moldings thereof, and, further, provide a resin composition and moldings thereof improved in processability and thermal stability. The present invention relates to a resin composition which comprises (A), an aliphatic polyester type biodegradable polymer and (B) at least one copolymer selected from the group consisting of composite rubber graft copolymers (b1) and core-shell type graft copolymers (b2); or, a resin composition which comprises (A) an aliphatic polyester type biodegradable polymer and (C) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of sorbitol compounds (c1) having a particular chemical structure and urea bond-containing substituted urea compounds (c2).
