Acyl hydrazide and acyl hydrazonesynthesis methods were developed. They involve the reaction of an activated amide with hydrazine under transition-metal-catalyst-free conditions. Additionally, acyl hydrazones were synthesized by extending the same reaction procedure in the presence of aldehydes (or ketones).
