    Anti-barnacle active fluorescence-labeled probe compounds were synthesized, and the interaction between the synthesized probe compounds and the cypris larvae of barnacles was observed under a fluorescence microscope. The observation suggests that anti-fouling active isocyano substances would express activity by acting on the oil cell area in barnacle cypris larvae. (c) 2005 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
